I agree, the military should have the right to vote by absentee ballot....as long as they show a state issued photo ID...Right...?
We don't want to mail an absentee ballot to mohamed the cook at APO xxx Afghanistan. Do we?

A pictured ID has nothing to do with a state issued ID. Kind of stretching it a little aren't you. Do you really hate our men and women serving our country that bad or do you just hate voters having to prove who they are.

They stopped their conversation every time they were saluted to respond with the appropriate greeting that went with the salute.

For a salute is only the first half. Good morning, afternoon, evening sir/ma'am is the second half. Every officer in the Marine Corps (since I was in the Marine Corps I will only use the branch of service I am familiar with) has and will respond to the appropriate greeting. It is called manners and showing appreciation for the respect given.

It's inappropriate (military protocol) to salute while talking on the phone. BTW, I live in a military universe.
