dog dandruff?

i've been noticing white specks on my dogs coat lately. most of its centered around the back of the neck but its pretty much everywhere. used to right after i put his advantix on at the begginning of the month it was real bad and im pretty sure it was just the oil drying. now we are at the end of the month and he still has dandruff. any ideas to help it? i will add my wife insists on him bathing about every two weeks since he's an inside dog. we use mane and tail shampoo. ive told her that with the cold weather approaching he needs his oil in his coat and they will have to be put on hold till spring or till he really rolls around in something nasty. any of yall got dogs with dandruff?

The best experiments test only one variable at a time.

I'd hold off on the bathing for a couple of months and see if that helps. If it doesn't, then I'd look in to changing his food.

i did change his food from Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy to Victor Super Premium 30/20 last night. that was more of a hunting season/price reasoning though
