Letter from PETA
As the title states a friend of mine received a letter from PETA saying that someone had reported animal abuse on his property. They want him to call the "abuse case worker" to discuss this matter. Does not go into detail as far as what was reported.
Just looking for some input for him and to see if anyone has received a letter such as this one?

I know of people who have. Ignore it. If you call the case worker, they will certainly take advantage of the invitation you give them to come to your kennel and no good can come from that. If you don't there is nothing they can legally do.

The more I'm on the internet the more I love my dogs.
The worst part of lawsuit is PETA has deeper pockets than we do. So a lawsuit would just open up a bigger "can of worms". They are supported by groups and individuals that don't understand why we do what we do. It is a shame that we have come to live in a world such as this. The best bet would to be ignore it and let them alone.

Save the letter later should he need evidence of the harassment. Otherwise, do nothing.

My Dad used to take off his shirt, open a beer, put on his rubber boots with shorts on, fire up the weedeater and go out and greet the JW's whenever they started to show up on our road. Same tactics should work to run off PETA folks. Wish I had pictures of the good ole days. Funny watching them try to tell him about saving his soul when he was sipping on a beer in rubber boots with the stinky old weedeater running while dangling from the strap over his shoulder.

He called UKC and spoke to their person in charge of the legal dept. She told him to call local animal control. Well he did call and the the lady at animal control told him their was an officer about 5 mins from his house. Evidently someone made a report about his dogs and a cat in the basement. Animal control guy made his inspection and said everything is fine. Must of been someone that didn't agree with the political signs in his yard made a call to harass him or cause him some grief.
