Where do we go without great leaders for the defense of our liberties? Who will defend our right to live our lives _as we chose_ without others taking that from us? The answer is, as it should be, no one. We are the defense of our rights and should always remember that. Libertarian blogger
Everyone said the same thing four years ago. Two short years later, we blew them out in the congress and unfortunately it was only a mid-term. It can happen again just as easily because they Libs tend to overreach every time... We shall see. One thing for sure though, it won't be the NAPS (new age pot smokers).
Bill Davis
IF they are fading then why did Ron Paul and Rand Paul run as Republicans.....if they were really true to their convictions they would both denounce their membership in the Party and declare themselves Libertarians...Rand used the Tea Party to his win in Kentucky, just how far would he get on a NATIONAL basis without the Republicans....he might not even win in Kentucky without them
Because right now it is a two aprty system. As much as the Libertarian Party pleaded with Ron Paul to run under our banner, he refused because when he ran as a Repub he said he wouldn't run as a Libertarian. He stayed true to his word. In fact, he was the only honest Repub candidate in the Primaries. RP could not and did not endorse Romney! That would have been a compromise of his integrity.
Rand, I am a bit worried about. He is gradually moving away from Liberty and becoming more demagogic. Don't forget that when the Tea party started out, that they were for Liberty and fiscal sanity. Then, the movement was hijacked by the religious right, which stands for anything but Liberty or Fiscal sanity. Not sure where Rand stands with the Teas today. I am hoping he will return to his roots which is Libertarian! But, he did use the GOP to get his Senate seat.
Here are 5 states Romney lost. Had he embrassed RP supporters instead of ignoring them, they could have made the difference!
