Hunt test training
Had a few trainers friends express interest in running my dog on some tests. They offered to take him for a season and do the more advanced training and run the test. My question is what should I expect to pay monthly for the this, as I was approached not me seeking them out? I am aware entry fees and other expences will be mine.
$600 per month give or take... It sounds like a lot, but if its quality training at $20 a day if you looked at it that way.

Not sure of a price but you can also expect bird fee's, meds (flea/heartgaurd) unless you supply, as well as a handlers fee for running the tests. What are their qualifications? Are they successful? Are the Pro's? Will they be training often 6-7 days a week??? Lots to consider but I can tell you that a good HT/FT pro is not cheep! It also depends on your goals with the dog!

The $600 mark is where everyone has been around. I need to ask on the handling fees, i know entry fees are all me. Just was wondering if that seemed fair for the hunt test stuff.
Generally the handling fee is the same as the premium price. $600 is a reasonable training fee. I charge a little bit less for the monthly training fee but require cash. My fee includes food and dead birds. But not live birds or meds (tick, heartworm).
Most pros prorate the travel expenses when going to a hunt test.

$600 for a month's training is cheap considering it would cost you that much to board the dog somewhere.
