Default Chesapeake breeders in Maryland are PA

I know breeder questions get asked here almost to death but oh well. I am starting to get the itch To train a new pup. After doing the whole over the phone have the puppy put on a plane thing last time I have vowed never agian. Dont get me wrong she is a great hunting dog all the drive in the world and I love her to death. But she has many health issues and I really come the to conclusion that you need to shake hand with the breeder and make sure your dogs comming from a loving enviroment. So now after training a few labs I want to make the switch over to a chessie. I have Always wanted one and I think me and my home are ready. Now the hard task finding a good honest breeder close to home. So if anyone knows any good chesapeake breeders close to southern PA are MD that they would recommend that would be great. Thats for reading my long rant to ask a simple question.

I currently own a Pond Hollow Chessie and would personally recommend them. Dyane has been breeding Chessies for 30plus years and has a ton of knowledge of the Breed. She strives to maintain the breeds conformation as well as Field capabilities.

Julie Reardon's site is http://www.gundogbreeders.com/breede...ings-farm.html. Dyane Baldwin and the Shaws are also excellent breeders. You might also want to check Chessie Pups on RTF, the American Chesapeake Club website: http://www.amchessieclub.org/
Team Chesapeake: http://www.teamchesapeake.com/ and Chessie Info http://www.chessieinfo.net/. If I can help in any way, just send me an email at blurdgches@verizon.net. We've had Chesapeakes for nearly 45 years and are still learning. It is a great breed!

I second pond hollow or black water Chesapeakes. Both excellent breeders and all dogs have health clearances.

Jeff & Joyce Shaw. They've got a young QAA bitch named Stevie (Blackwaters Double Trouble). Imagine she'll have a litter before too long.
"Darla" AFC Candlewoods Lil Smokin Tequila (2002-2013)(fondly remembered)
"Smoke" Smokin Auggies Menace, QAA (2003- )(retired nut case, ask Rando)
"Simba" Humewood Simba (1999-2014)(my 1st dog)

    .
Per favore, non mi rompere i coglioni.
    Grazie

I would give a thumbs up to the Shaws in New Jersey and Wendy Chishom of Westwind Kennels in Maine they both have puppies coming and available. Want field trial chessies look no further if you want close distance.
Gentle in what you do. Firm in how you do it.

X2 very knowledgable when it comes to the Chessies, she definitely schooled me when I was on the fence of either getting another lab or changing to chessies. I have no doubt in my mind she at the very least can give you solid recomendations on litters/breeders.
