Large Breed Adult food necessary?
Is large Breed food for a 16 month old adult YLM necessary? His weight is around 75lbs... haven't weighed him in a while.
I feed NutriSource Adult Chicken and Rice. The LB food is lower calorie and I have problems keeping weight on this guy as it is. I get the impression that the large breed food is for giant breeds more than our retrievers once they make the switch to adult food.
Thoughts? Best to keep them on LB throughout their lives or it doesn't matter?
would reccomend a premium Maintenance instead. Or if you have trouble keeping the #s on him, then i"d use a Performance instead. Lg Breed adult IMO is a gimmick.........

I don't think of Labradors as a large breed, anyway. Most of the food manufacturers indicate their food is for dogs over a certain number of pounds.
