Loved the latest paper on CNM, answered a lot of questions. It was interesting to see that they traced back the number of generations of the mutation and could give an approximate time for the introduction of the mutation into the breed of about 50 years, and that it seems that a National Stake winner as possible dog Zero for CNM. The UK was the country of origin. It is pretty scarey to see how fast a Genetic defect from one "Stud of the Day" can quickly influence the whole of the breed. The first documented case was 1976 based on clinical symptoms. The possibility of development of ways to treat CNM.
