    Default Healthcare that makes sense

Great article on healthcare and how it should be run. Too bad there wasn't a candidate who we could nominate that had the same philosophy,...oh wait we did, Dr. Ron Paul. But he was a crazy old man who made too much sense.

Here's another new development in the UK's health care system.

It's striking how the govt interference runs up the costs for commonplace procedures. We'd still need a hospital environment for more complex procedures. Those procedures would undoubtedly be even more expensive due to moving the simpler procedures to different kinds of facilities.

It occurs to me, however, that hospitals, even in the absence of govt mandate, would still follow the Hippocratic oath for its emergency room ... and much of that care will still end up being "charity" work. There must always be some way to pay for those who cannot pay.

Perhaps it would just be easier to establish some fund for indigent patients, and dole that out to various hospitals? Probably would be more efficient if the govt did NOT run such a program!

Is all encompassing HC necessary? There was a time when one was responsible for their life decisions. When we were young a family paid for their own care when adding a baby to the family. Government run healthcare has driven the cost - a healthcare organization with 18 administrators being compensated over $413K/year in salary alone. Does anyone feel that is out of line?

The POTUS far-righties hate Dr. Paul as they much prefer a Crony Capitalist!

They hate ideals and policy such as this...

"Capitalism should not be condemned, since we havenít had capitalism. A system of capitalism presumes sound money, not fiat money manipulated by a central bank. Capitalism cherishes voluntary contracts and interest rates that are determined by savings, not credit creation by a central bank. Itís not capitalism when the system is plagued with incomprehensible rules regarding mergers, acquisitions, and stock sales, along with wage controls, price controls, protectionism, corporate subsidies, international management of trade, complex and punishing corporate taxes, privileged government contracts to the military-industrial complex, and a foreign policy controlled by corporate interests and overseas investments. Add to this centralized federal mismanagement of farming, education, medicine, insurance, banking and welfare. This is not capitalism!" Ė Ron Paul
