Black Creek Retriever Club is proud to host an AKC Advanced Retriever HT Judges and Handlers seminar on April 27 & 28, 2013. Presenters will be AKC representatives Jerry Mann and Wayne Bleazard.
This seminar will be comprised of two parts. Half a day on Saturday will be class room instruction covering rules and regulations of AKC retriever hunt tests. The remainder of Saturday and Sunday will be devoted to setting up hunt test scenarios, the running of three demo dogs at the Junior, Senior, and Master level, scoring the dogs performance and discussing the set-ups and bird placement. This will be outdoors at the Partridge Run WMA in Berne, NY.
Attending this seminar will meet requirements for you to begin a hunt test judging career. Attending this seminar will also aid in making you a better trainer, handler and contestant by imparting knowledge regarding how judges score dogs in the criteria of marking, style, perseverance and trainability, as well as how to utilize factors to test a dogs ability.
