    Default CERF Clinics

Having now spent the morning looking for somewhere to CERF a dog, I am now turning to further resorts. (sounded better that way than actually saying last resorts) In the past, I have always went to a spring clinic put on by locals, however I need one NOW or within a week. Surely there is someone that does them closer than 2 1/2 hours away or further of Topeka, Indiana? Dog shows that would have an opthamologist present for a CERF?

If someone could post up with the vet (Or dog show that is putting on a clinic) they use in the lower part (ideally south-central-western) of Michigan, north eastern Indiana, or way western Ohio, it would be a HUGE help. I am willing to drive up to 2 hours, but didn't want to turn it into a road trip for SIMPLE eye CERF.

    Thanks!!

Check with your dog show premiums. Many dog shows have low cost cerf clinics

Clinics have been so far and few between lately, I've been going to my local vet school. One more suggestion, call your vet. Until recently, we had a traveling opthamalogist that would come into my local vet office, until she retired!

I just had my 3 dogs eyes done and now OFA is doing their own instead of using CERF. The reason why is VMDB was not releasing the stats to OFA on what breads have have eye problems.

Might consider doing a cheek swab do it yourself test for Pra?

Cheek swab for PRA or RD/OSD is totally different from the annual eye exams our breeding dogs should get. The regular eye exams should be done regardless of the genetic tests for two very specific forms of PRA and RD/OSD.
