Bert, I must've been thinking about catholic retrievers that might need the blessing of St. Blaise before they would even consider putting something formerly alive in their mouths...

What you are calling a "blaze", I wouldn't call a "blimp". Now if it was from throat to chest and shoulder to shoulder, then I could see why all the fuss. However even THAT wouldn't put me off of a litter IF that was the litter/pedigree that I was wanting to buy into. Heck, for the right litter, the pups could be green with purple poke-a-dots for all I care. Geez folks, next you'll be complaining about how "the hair parts wrong when he gets wet" or some other stupid thing. Is he healthy? Does he have a good temperament? Plenty of desire to please? If so, quit your complaining!!

The blaze...oh no. I've seen a couple great dogs with the blaze.

My lab had a blaze similar to the one in the picture above. He is now 8 months old and the blaze is gone.
