It was/is. A lil over 14 pounds of large shrimp, 4 pounds of crawfish tails, a lil over 6 pounds of chicken & sausage, & duck. I cook it in 1 of my turkey pots. Can't wait to get another bowl for lunch.
Yours truely is cooking today....I have prepared beef ribs smothered in bbq sauce with a mix of brown sugar, springled with onion and oranges for added flavor and splashed with a double shot of Jack Daniels for the kicker! Sweet Italian goose sausage with red and green bell peppers, onion on a bed of bbq sauce. Sides are baked mac and cheese topped with bacon and a salad with homemade dressing
Non-traditional but gooooooooooooooooood!
LOL. Not exactly. We have cooked deer ham for Christmas. I think we have done it twice. The next tailgate I see will be next fall. We have never cooked a whole pig & I can't recall ever eating one that was killed by a hunter. I'm not saying I wouldn't shoot one or eat it if I had the chance, I just duck hunt for the most part. I'll go cow (Deer.) hunting a time or 2 just to do something.
Have a Merry Christmas & a safe/fulfilling New Year!!
That was a great video, That kind of reaction is worth a million bucks. you cant buy that kind of happiness. We had a large brunch with an egg bake, bacon, sausage, waffles, muffins, and my favorite - deer back-strap chunks wrapped in bacon and jalapeno.
Hope everyone's christmas was great and I hope the new year brings prosperity
