A fire broke out in the home of Dr. Jim Smith of Niskayuna, NY today. Jim lost five dogs. Too much tragedy this Holiday season.
Oh....no... One of the nicest amateurs, loves his family..and his "girls" ...so very sorry.
Jim had a wonderful successful season this 2012 with the "girls"... and a great 2013 to look forward to. This is just so hard to hear..his SUV was always full of the "girls"...it was so great to see them arriving.
Godspeed......."Gritty", "Eve", "Nipper" and "Tessa", and their 5th "girl" who I think was retired and her name is not in my memory this moment.

Can't comprehend what Jim must be going through. Great guy who loves his family and his dogs. Loved watching him sit his well behaved children in the gallery and then running his dogs. Class act through and through.
Praying everyone else is safe in his family.

According to news reports, no one was home. They suspect the fire started in the kitchen. Jim had just purchased a dog truck.
Losing A dog is hard enough, can't imagine .......

There aren't words for this. Jim is the most unassuming person running field trials. Cannot say enough about him. My heart goes out to him and his family and his dear, dear dogs. Vivid images of him and the girls. Rest in peace and deepest condolences.

A horrible, horrible tragedy. I'm deeply saddened and absolutely stunned. My thoughts are with Jim and his family.
