Congrats to Feld (Ringling Bros Circus) in their recent success and good luck to their current RICO suits against 6 other animal rights extremists...

Nothing to do with the court case of course, but elephants in shows or in fact any wild animal, I find distasteful.

Saw my first circus at about five years of age. It left an impression, whips for the cats, treats for the dogs!

The real story is that with the ASPCA having settled, the HSUS and it's staff is under real pressure. On the one hand, they don't dare settle but on the other, they've lost a major supporter. They don't dare settle for a number reasons. First, Wayne Pacelle personally signed one of the checks that paid the "informer". If they settle, Pacelle will be at least colored by a serious wrong-doing. Second, the chief counsel of the HSUS is a defendant in the case. If they settle, he's at risk of being disbarred...along with several others. Finally, if they settle they'll admit that the money collected for the puppies and kitties on their TV ads really goes elsewhere.

This is a civil RICO suit. There's no reason to believe that a criminal RICO suit couldn't be far behind especially if they lose the suit. Feld has deep pockets (as does HSUS) and has given no indication of throwing in the towel. It's become something of a mission to Mr. Feld.

When you run your dog or train him what makes you think that is any different? You take good care of your dog and he enjoys it right? You think he'd be happier living in the wild or living in your house?

No different with these elephants. That is why the animal idiots had to pay up.

This has been going on for 12 years and $20 million for Feld....I believe that Feld Entertainment will take it through to the end. There are 6 animal rights groups still facing the RICO proceedings. I hope that Feld is successful and I hope that the results are detrimental for these groups in ways other than the reduction of their bank accounts...ideally, they would lose their tax exempt status...

Anyone who has any thing to do with animals (whether it be hunting, dog training, breeders, etc) are targets for these groups. One day in the field dog training would be too much for these activists...animals should be "free" and any training violates that premise.
