Soap eaters? Got any suggestions?

Both our labs do it. They open drawers, get in the shower stall, pull open cabinet doors and dig through stuff to get it from the back shelf and tonight one of them got in the tub and jumped to a soap holder about 4-5 feet up. (Found the holder in the tub sans soap.) The BLF has a fondness for girly lavender soap, very expensive, smelly and emollient. The Chocolate male goes for "Irish Spring". He ate an entire bar, got colitis and cost us 400$ at the vet just to prove he wasn't obstructed.

I bagged the bars once and got even more expensive lotion/soap only to find it chewed open.

Wonder if they still make Borax powder. Even a lab wouldn't eat that. (I don't think.)

This is getting annoying.

That's funny!!!
I have two that do the same. They will actually hunt 'em up some bar soap. They like Softsoap Pomegranate best-lol.
I have one that will also hunt up chewing gum. She has taken whole packages from our fireplace mantel and off of the kitchen counters as well. We literally have to lock up gum and Softsoap.

We had to use child locks on all the cabinets and closets. My new one has a fondness of Carmex, she tore up a pair of jeans to get it out of the pocket.

Dee Dee ate a cheese ball I left on the table just after I had only sampled it. It had been the size of a softball before she got hold of it. She only smiled and licked her lips when asked about it. What I had tasted was good, so I have to compliment her on her taste. All of our Labs are counter surfers! Just can't help loving them though, Bill
