Dont do FTs but some hunt tests and hunt. Have a female from FT lines and my male is a mutt. Biggest complaints are, They get my couch hot, not enough room in the bed,when they hear my alarm they paw me and wake me up and bark when I try to sneak in the house.

Many years ago we had a guy on the coast who was a very successful Derby trainer, Clyde Powell. After watching his dogs perform over the years I would use his dogs as examples of dogs raised in the house. They also rode without a kennel in the back seat of whatever Lincoln Mark XX Clyde happened to own. One of Clyde's earlier dogs was Jet of Zenith, 1960 Derby Champ (68 points) & the 1st dog to sell for 5 figures in this sport. Clyde & Peg's fondest memory of the dog was the fact that his ears stood up & forward as if he were part German Shepherd . Andy Pruitt bought one of Clyde's dogs, Rocky Road of Zenith. When traveling with Andy you did not get up in the middle of the night without waking Andy 1st or Rocky would do his best impression of a guard dog on you .
