Great info! Much appreciated!
My critters get it with their dinner.
How much are you putting on the food on a regular basis? About 1 tablespoon twice a day? And no problems with softening the stools?
I starting this yesterday- hubby's going to be mad when he figures out it's disappearing. He orders the good stuff by the tub full for cooking - shhhhh!

You just never know, I'm waiting for a study touting the health benefits of Snickers!
Health reports is kinda like the weather in the South - If you wait it will change again in fifteen minutes. Coffee kills you today and it adds years to your life tomorrow. If I live then I live and If I die then I will know I had a great life and enjoyed it to the fullest.![]()

A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.
Here is a report that claims it is medically based....probably not any better than any other report but it does have more interesting observations about the use of coconut oil in your diet.

If you choose to use this start off with less and work up to a tablespoon a day .... otherwise your pooch might get loose stools.

Yup, there's science and there's "junk science" I vote for Snickers too! Peanuts are legumes, high protein. Chocolate is a vegetable (kinda, sorta). Caramel is one of my favorite things on earth.
Re Tony's Golden: I wanted to make some snarky return comment like: I've always wanted to get my dog's serum cholesterol checked. Where did you do that exactly? But it's a really interesting thought. Do dogs have serum lipid problems? Do vets ever check for such things? Are there doggy health problems from too much fat, other than doggy obesity of course (Michelle Obama would be most upset!) ? Sorry to ramble; I need to get out training but it's just so cold!
A nutritionist put my sister and her husband on a small amount of coconut oil in their daily diet. Plus it's been mentioned a lot in the media. So, after reading this, I decided to look it up on WebMD and here's the link if anyone is interested.
