I just want to see what you do. why or why not?
I didn't for a long time thinking if someone stole the dog they would automatically know the dogs name.

I see some that also have hunt test titles with the dog's name !
I remember a story Jackie Mertens told me some time ago. She was at a field trial and was just putting Cotton back on her dog truck when some admirer came up to say hi and get a closer look at Cotton. He wasn't a field rialer but had heard of the great Topbrass Cotton, he noticed Jackie just put him in his hole on the truck without locking the crate and said "aren't you nervous someone might come by and poison him?" Jackie said, "I am now". That guy really creeped her out.

Just a funny story - Flash was my escape artist, he could be out a front door and you'd never notice...so he got out one time when my in-laws were dog sitting, long story short he made some friends with some neighborhood kids who had snuck him into their back yard, he was more than happy to play with them....well the Mother found them playing, they tried to hide him from her cause they wanted to keep him and he was more than happy to "hide" when she checked on them...it didn't matter his name was on his tag, they never checked it, but Flash still followed them and played with them...oh Flash, you and your escape artist stories! God I miss him!
I had Flash and Bullet's names on my old two hole box, but I agree - no names on the boxes. Live and learn, right? We all like to "brag" on our dogs and sometimes common sense doesn't come into play when making the decision to slap their names on a kennel/box. I do have their first name on their collars though...along with address and two phone numbers. I'm not sure having their name on their collars is like handing over the keys, but i do understand those who feel that way.

When we are at a hunt test! we all know the dogs names I thing it would be cool
but i do see the point of not doing it!
