I don't believe in allowing wine to breathe. I prefer mouth-to-wine resuscitation.
My vet also does the vaccination every 3 years. Recommends lepto, lymes, bordatella yearly.

I've gone to 3 years for rabies and distemper/parvo, for adults, after they've had their complete puppy series. I do bordetella for dogs going off to trainers. I don't do Lyme. I do lepto (4 strain) annually.

Happy New Year Ann,
My vet held off on 3 year for quite some time waiting to see some longer term data and effects. Her biggest concern was effectiveness into the 3rd year and dogs in situations where exposure was more likly ( hunting, other dogs ). She went to 3 year for all dogs 2 years ago. I like the $$$$$ saved.
Never trust a dog to watch your food!
Been doing the 3 year DA2PP for several years now up here, as well as the 3 year rabies and have had no issues.

For our older dogs (2 years old and up), my vet recommends every 2 years or have a titer done. Her reasoning is that my dogs are exposed to so many different dogs coming in to the kennel for training as well as traveling to so many other areas. Rabies for adult dogs is every 3 years; Bordatella is every 6 months intranasal.

No vet around here stocks a separate stand alone Lepto vaccine either, heck, hard enough to get them to stock a combo vaccine without Lepto at all, for the first puppy shots. Most tend to give the big combo from the first puppy shot and every booster thereafter. Also, some of the combo ones only cover 2 vs 4 of the Lepto servovar that are available. It's tough, trying to get all this vaccine stuff separated and kept straight.

We've always done the every year combined vaccinations. This year I had the vet do a titer ($$$) on my nine year old. Distemper was plenty high enough, but parvo was nonexistant. Don't know how to judge every year or every three years without checking.
