Default Do any advocates for gun control give a crap about logic?

Are you people just tied into emotion, with zero recognition about facts? That's so typical of Democrats/lefties/socialists. Is there no hope for you to give some of these problems actual thought and reasoning? Try this on for size.

You can't let facts stand in the way of preconceived logic.

Stunning ... very surprised to see so many in So America and Caribbean with higher incidence than places like Congo or Sudan, where anarchy is pretty much the situation there.

Did they have UK figures? Didn't see them above.

Guns are not 100% banned in Kenya either. There is a procedure to legally own guns but it must be pretty onerous as out of a population of a bit over 43 million, there are only about 5000 legal civilian gun owners. Same basic thing in Tanzania. Approx 70,000 licensed private gun owners there in a population of about 41.2 million. Those are the only two countries on the list that I checked on and as you can see the statement at the bottom of UB's post overstates the facts a bit. I think it would probably be more accurate to say that in all those countries above the US in that list, firearm ownership is very strictly regulated to little effect. I really think that it is counterproductive to promulgate what turn out to be at least partially false statements to support one's position. Please be careful about what you pass on. If the general premise is correct, but some of the facts are overstated, please correct that before passing on.

Any doctrine that weakens personal responsibility for judgment and for action helps create the attitudes that welcome and support the totalitarian state.

Hold the phone you aren't insinuating that UB is posting a bunch of lies again? And again, and again, and again. How moronic is it to post thread after thread of lies?

Evidently, you are having a problem with your reading glasses. UK is not on the list.
