Well after reading and re reading all the great advice that was given in reply's and in PM's this morn i took a couple pigeons out of the freezer to that, finished up work and headed out to a good training spot, no ice no real snow acculamation it had been cleared. Let TY run for a bit with my Brit before raining him in and sending her off to play.
Gave him several fun bumpers and had him just vibratiing, broke out the pigeons and did some marks (which went perfect, dog was a frikkin arrow from tail to nose) then a couple good boy fun bumpers. I only brought 5 bumpers with me today so I sat him down facing me and tossed all 5 out behind him, used very slow hand signals and very soft backs, he was flying to the pile, so i thought hell that was dang good, moved off the line loved the heck out of him tossed a couple fun bumpers then some marks and put 4 bumpers in a pile and remote sat him tossed the last one out to mark the pile and carried on. Still just givin'er... If he did slow i tossed out a "Good BOI" and he picked right up i did this exact process once more and summed it up with pigeon marks and fun bumpers.
I wanna say i disnt even bring my collar transmitter today.
What does this tell me.
God dangit...Make it fun
Balance, Balance, Balance
Slow down my arms and shut the *^&*( up and stop shouting commands
When he see's and heres me happy, he works harder and is happier.
I think we will keep it like this for a while on the pile before moving back into t. I need to make some sort of course with my snow blower..
Thank you all so much, will record when i can...
