Agree, except he is saying it would never get through the House. He may just be using that for cover, but I think the House has made it clear.

Why would the Repub controlled House approve of any new forms of Gun Control? If anything, the Repubs should be fighting any and all gun control and moving to repeal all gun control laws for law abiding citizens!

Reid may have some indication of which new gun laws the House Repubs are willing to accept since some have openly spoken of the need for more. No doubt Reid is spinning some of this. But, where is the Republican Party's statement on Gun Rights since Sandy Hook? Not the individuals but the Party's stance? Are they leading on the issue or hiding from it?
