I just went through the same thing and these are the three that I would recommend:
    Firehouse labs-near Kansas city mo
    Hunters Rose Kennels-southern mi
    Old Oak Retrievers- southern minn.

I have talked to all three operations and they were three of the best breeders that i could find in the country, just my two cents.

I second this. The pedigrees on these litters are awesome! They are great people and have a great set up, too. Barb really knows what she is doing.

I'm looking for a family dog but also want to use him for dog sports (dummy training, agility,..). Black or choclate, male or female.

Flo12345, I have a black and chocolate breeding that will be done in the next few days between Cody and Cinder, whom you can view by clicking on their page links. Pups would be due the middle of March, ready 7 weeks afterwards.

You really gotta be careful about how high a pedestal you put your method, your accomplishments, your dog on. There's usually someone who's done more, somewhere. And they may have used a different method than you did! Chris Atkinson 2013

I think Jeff has two males (1 black and 1 red) left out of his breeding to my Valor, QAA (Medal of Honor) and his Callie. Callie is a very athletic little black female. They should be good agility dogs, hunting dogs, companion dogs. Valor has very nice structure, and is a good looking boy.

They would be ready to go in the next couple of weeks.

can you send some more pictures of your dog so that I get a better feeling?
How would you describe your dog?
Is it an american Labrador or an english Labrador...as far as I understood, therer is a difference between these two, right?
I guess yours is a FT breeded dog?
