Just ordered TRT2/Where should my almost 4 month old be?
Guys the title says it.I have trained every dog off the old TRT but things have changed in almost 10 yrs,go figure.This pup is marking over 75 plus and started on live birds.With the newer trend of starting early where should I or he be?Well sorry not trend but evolution.

it can be hard for the bouncy tigger type pups to learn.
Your gonna love how much more easy the DVD is over the old VHS tape
to get back to and review. The few (very few) edited additions were you
go from young Mike to older Mike and back to young, will make you take note

It can do no harm to start at the beginning of the course and review it... at some point you will see where the pup is and you can then continue on with the new material or work on any holes you may have found.

Mike doesn't start them until they are about 6 months. So the dogs you see in his TRT 2 dvd will be older than yours. In his Total Retriever Marking he shows very young puppies being introduced to retrieving, birds, water, etc.
Download his free Flow Chart. Look at the top of the Flow Chart and he states the things that should be happening before he gets them: Socialization and Introduction to Field
Crate training, housebreaking, playing with kids and adults, traveling in a vehicle, nature walks, simple ob with treats, casting games with treats, walking on leash (two sides), intro to retrieving, intro to birds, intro to water retrieves, intro to gunner thrown marks, etc.
