What do you do when your dog is laying on the couch, and they wont come to you from a foot away. (just want them to move a Little so can rub the head) and I dont have to move

Enjoy the peace! With 4 of them one is always looking for a scratch behind the ear. Oh and if you get up off of your spot on the couch, upon return some four legged family member will need to be moved from your spot.

Usually a firm "NO, GET DOWN" will have them on the couch and in your lap.

We lost control of our couch years ago. I can't help. Our young lab insists on being between hubby and I. She jumps up, crawls over a body to get where she wants to be. My older lab has been very clingy lately too. She parks on my other side. My young golden, gets ticked she wants to sit by mom too!!! So she climbs in my lap from time to time to tell me she loves me and get some attention. If one of the other dogs gets down (for a drink or dad headed to the kitchen) Gabby is up faster than you can blink to take a spot.

Can't help you, as you see I need help too. However my 4th dog lays at the other end. She enjoys her space, she has a lot of it. LOL
