Has anyone else ever had a dog that was just dead set to eat every stick it came across? And when those are removed he begins to eat the bark off the trees after he rips it of. I realize this can't be good for him , clear cutting my land isn't an option, just curious if anyone else has had this issue and how you approached it.

Had several dogs eating the barks off the trees this year. I have two trees that look terrible! I can't tell you how many times I have yelled out the door "quit eating the trees"!!! My only solution I think is to put fencing around them, the fencing that has wood planks... My thought was they can't get their teeth to the tree that way. Not sure but my friend did this and he said it worked for him.

Didn't have the problem until this year, not sure what gives here. Good luck to you and your trees! Dawn
