Eye opener--Wow do I appreciate the RTF Moderators.

I do not frequent any other forums so I am a greenhorn in this regard. I was given a link to a thread on a duck chat forum, as I was told a couple of my former students had created quite a stir on a thread, and their website "Cupped Addiction"

14 pages of mostly nonsense, though some points were made.

I was appalled by many of the responses, but moreover the lack of "moderating". Mostly banter and bashing with little substance. It got ugly, and these are kids, though admittedly I would not support their hunting ethic.

I think the thread would have been appropriately shut down quickly on RTF and rightfully so. A classy site indeed.

This year there were no contests for syrup and what not, so I did not have an opportunity to write a ridiculous poem expressing my gratitude to all of you for doing what you do here. This is a great resource, like I've written many a time, I would have given up long ago on training my dog if it weren't for you all.

As one who was shut down a couple of years ago for one of my less than kind remarks, let me join in with the thank yous to the moderators. Cleo has tried for years to "help" my language, but coming from someone else sometimes makes a more lasting impression.
