Just curious what is the oldest dog some of you have tried to force fetch? Also were you successful in ff of older dog.
2.5 and yes.
Treat it just like it's a 6 month old puppy.
Physical age doesn't matter.
FF is more about mental age than actual age and 1.5 yrs.

between 2 and 3 if i remember right when i did it.
1.5 yr old dog she took abit longer than usual but made it through just the same

She did just fine.

I have got one now that is two yrs. old. Finished hold after a week and a half. On the first day of "fetch" and by the 6th pinch, look out!! Great response. We will see if it continues. Think it depends on the dog though. Good luck
In my limited experience {2 dogs FF'd} it does make a big difference. The 7 mo old I ff'd was much more compliant mentally and MUCH easier to manipulate physically than the 2 yr old physically mature dogOriginally Posted by copterdoc
