    Cool! This certainly supports the notion that dogs' ancestors were scavenging from human garbage piles. I've been giving my pups grief about their ancestry ever since I read the Coppingers' book. I think their ancestors' foraging habits probably also go a long way toward explaining why many dogs consider poop a food group.
