For times where there is a hearing deficit situation, perhaps 22 cal blanks of any color, even the purple ones, are not the answer....
When sight and/or hearing may be an issue I would use the Winchester black powder popper. In the right light they have a 3' long muzzle flash and in any light the sound is deafening. A little pricey but if available. what's a $1.00 ea in the big picture ?
