Any hunches on where a guy could get into the snows this week this year?

Near Marshall MO I believe it is like Malta Bend slough or something like that the farmers are real nices - you have to knock on some doors but the water is normally open there and the birds are DUMB

That's awesome, but won't they be further north by then?

The adults are but the juvies are usually around there at that time. The juvies are a week to 2 weeks behind as they are not in the breeding rush.

My crystal ball says N.Dak or upper S.Dak at the least. I m quessing that they are going to blow thru this spring, just like last. Chris-ND

If this spring is like last spring I'd bet on Iowa or points north being LOADED with geese by mid March. I live fairly close to Malta Bend and I have a snow goose hunt planned for that very area the weekend of Feb 16-17 this year. I hope I'm not early.....

Okay I am eating my words now, I just checked the national weather service and up to ND and northern MN it is going to be warmer than average, If you can swing it go down there last week of feb and anything after that go to Nebraska through mid march and then to yankton, vermillion area a week after that then hit the madison, sd area, then up by Waubay, SD area then ND I am not sure where to hunt up there but that is going to be my prediction now they may move even faster but weather.com says that in 30 days it will be warmer than normal up to ND and I didnt think they really hit ND till close to the end of March last year but I didnt hunt them after they went through the Madison area - gas money started to run low but good luck.
