My heart truly breaks for Mark and Blue's loved ones. But oh my, what a team and what a journey.
No one can have the part of me I give to my dogs.

Gee, Miriam, quite a surprise. Thank you. Paul, you and Mary Williams judging Sarah and Blue is also one of my very fondest memories.
All of us who share our lives with these incredible animals has been down this road. The support of friends like Miriam and many others in the dog world, along with my family, has made his loss just a little easier to bear. Blue and I traveled thousands of miles together, shared innumerable wonderful memories that will last my lifetime, and spent countless hours trying to shoot birds. I just loved every single minute of being in his company. He was a kind, confident, ever patient and watchful companion. The very best extension of myself.
His annoying, yet loveable, son, Slash, is now lying at my feet. Kid, you've got some shoes to fill.
Dog bless,
.

Miriam, thank you for posting this. I told Mark earlier this week that Blue was a proud, beautiful, statuesque figure at the line, that could mark with the best. Blue was always a gentleman and a true pleasure to be around. I always enjoyed watching him run, ...I will never forget him. Even though Mark and Blue ran fewer trials over the past few years, I know they both went afield duck hunting as often as possible. I have no doubt they made some wonderful memories. Mark, you'll now go afield with Slash, Blue's son, and wherever you both go, Blue will be with you. Mark, I wish you many more memories with Slash.

I like my dogs black, wet and with a dead duck in their mouth!
Very sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry about Blue's passing. He was a very special dog. But like all dogs, he had one fault - they don't live as long as we would like them to. May the day come quickly when thinking of Blue brings a smile rather than sadness.

Blue was one of those dogs you remembered long after you saw him run. He and Mark made a nice team. Run free you handsome boy!
