    Default microchip

Finally scheduled the appointment for next weekend. After a talk with the person on the other end of the phone that said to wait and have it done when he was neutered because the needle was pretty big and I explained at this point in time thats not gonna happen. I was just curious on how everyones pups handled it? He is pretty bold and full of himself just worried about any negative drawbacks from the procedure. Never had one done before.

We had to micro-chip pups for CNM testing so they were chipped at 20 days old. No issues with that!

I do my pups when they are 7 weeks old and they hardly notice it.

I have done mine both as puppies and as adults and they do fine. Granted, I usually do it when they're eating and otherwise occupied, but even my biggest "wuss" just flinched and looked at me like "What the heck was that all about?!?"

We chip every litter at 7-8 weeks and they do fine. Very few ever make a sound. Yes, the needle is larger then vaccines but it is so quick that it's over before they have time to react. Older ones don't even flinch so your pup should do fine.
