Default New pup - appreciate this forum!

This is Jake (haven't nailed down his registered name yet). He's 9 weeks old and seems to be doing great. It's been about 10 years since my last dog left us and my son is old enough now to be actively involved in the training and care, so we made the leap into the retriever owner's world again. I let him chase a duck wing for the first time this past weekend and it really opened up another gear in his aggressiveness, which was nice to see.

I have really enjoyed reading the discussions on this board and appreciate the helpful advice that you all share with each other. My former training was all based on James Lamb Free's book, so I've been trying to get caught up on the more modern methods and figuring out where we go from here. I'm looking forward to learning from all of you on this journey and will be asking questions as they arise. Thanks in advance!
