Training Book

Can anyone recommend a good training manual that is similar to the Tritronics Training Book? I love the diagrams and general layout of the book. Anything else out there that is a must have?

Not much information to work with. What kind of dog? What are going to be doing with your dog? In otherwords, training for what?

If you are wanting information on training a retriever, I recommend Vol 1 of Mike Lardy's Retriever Journal training articles. It is only $25 and can be bought at YBS meida.

I think this is a great book, especially for new trainers learning drills. My wife and I each have this book. The one we use in the field I cut apart and laminated every page then put each page in clear 3 hole pocket folders and inserted them all in a 2 inch three ring binder. It works great to lay out on the back of a tailgate, etc., to look at the diagrams, instructions etc.. If you are training with a group, everyone can look at it. Completely weather proof too.

Dobbs wrote the tritronic training book. They also have a web site called dobbs dogs.com Their is alot of good information on this web site also, if you like the tritronic book.
