Probably nobody is noticing ... since this "was a long time ago."

Seems that the US Attorney for AZ (Burke) has been found to have "retaliated" against the whistle-blower.

He resigned on 8/13 ... and now has a security & lobbying firm. The IG is forwarding his violations of Federal and attorney rules of conduct to the AZ bar association. Doesn't seem like that will materially affect his career as he's already found another calling.

Disturbing that the people who do these things are not really held accountable in any significant way. It certainly doesn't help the whistle-blowers in committing to do the right thing when they see govt doing bad things.

An Office of Inspector General report showed that Dennis Burke -- the former chief of staff for Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano appointed as U.S. Attorney for Arizona by President Obama in September 2009 -- lied when asked if he leaked sensitive documents to the press meant to undermine the credibility of ATF whistle-blower John Dodson.
