I certainly don't always agree with some of your post's but what you have posted here I agree with totally and these issues are of such importance they can't be ignored.
This is the problem that develops when we give the President excessive power. We have slid down the slippery slope when it comes to Executive Power and there needs to be effective checks and balances like the Constitution outlines to stop it.
I know that on more than one occasion I have chastised the Democrats for not speaking out on issues that President Obama adopted that were exactly the same ones they despised when President Bush approved of them.
What has happened is that they conveniently change the definitions to suit there purposes. What was once war is not (Imagine a foreign country firing a missile inside our borders I am sure that could be called war) Waterboarding is not torture anymore, when up until 9-11 it certainly was and what was once a crime is now swept under the rug when it involves powerful people or corporations, the latest being HSBC.
Protecting the values and ideas of our Constitution is critical even though sometimes we might not like how the courts interpret it. Flag burning comes to mind. And the rule of law must remain blind and if you break the law then pay the consequence.
I just think we have gotten away from these basic concepts.
If the President can declare he can take you out on his order what power does he not hold? Imagine if we slide down that slippery slope?

A dead person don't tell stories or lies. The theory if someone breaks into your house, and you would have to shoot them, make sure they are dead.
I would also have to mention we did not do surveys to make sure Americans were not in Nagasaki or Hiroshima before those bombs were dropped.

While some of your posts have made me think our politics are vastly different, this one reminds me of how we do share fundamental values. I shudder to think of how many more ways this White House occupant will usurp power in his 2nd term. I'd been following the NDAA and cannot believe how little publicity this provision has gotten. Truly scary.

I fear so many like you are willing to turn the other check, thinking the enemy will recognize your warm-felt altruism as sincere love, which it may be...but is viewed as just weakness on your part, and such a simple way to wipe you all out.
FWIW, try reading some novels on the subject by Vince Flynn, or Tom Clancy. Of course they are 'fiction', but they tell it closer to the truth than many can imagine. It may turn your stomach, but wars were never designed for anything but dealing with returning what the enemy throws at you, in a form they understand. Believe me when I say, it's not what this current regime is doing, or for that matter, what the 'fools' and sheeple of this nation are 'hoping' will happen. Many need to be awakened to what is pending. I'd hate to think that you and others that think like you are so naive to believe what the jihadists have been warning about for years, isn't what they live by and intend to do.
With the current anti-American oligarchy in charge, pushing everything they believe in...communism, socialism, facism etc. etc. etc., it's just a matter of time before they have emboldened these Islamic whackos into brazenly attacking this nation again, and it will be with something nuclear. What will be the doves response to that form of destruction?

The word of God is my shield and buckler,,,its not I that am weak . I'll be OK no matter the out come. And this world is not my home I'm just a passin through.
However since I live here I actually am doing something about it. One of the things i,,,,s to make people aware of the physical battle along with the spiritual battle,,but most have no interest in the spiritual battle or since they can't see it they don't believe it,,,but it is actually at the very core of whats going on now.
I have posted many documents which I think have been ignored mostly because the source is some one who can be sort of a nut,,,but the interviews and news clippings and documents are authentic.
We need to look at our special interest groups, government and their advisers as being the terrorists not the people (governments) they prop up and then stab in the back. Listen the moslem and judaism are going to duke it out most likely,,,its been in the making for hundreds of years.
I'm reading Albert Pike right now. He shared their plan in his writings in the 1800s. He was a member of the Whig party,a lawyer,a politician,,a2x war veteran as a confederate,,and started the KKK ,,,a 33rd degree Mason and indoctrinated into the Scotish rite.
If you think this is right wing vs left wing then its you in the dark. Both are the problem,,they just go about pursuing the same goal in a different manner
