We started agility not all that long ago just as a means to keep him in shape over the winters, and found out that it's a blast!
This weekend at a 3 day trial my monster boy got 2 QQ's and 1 single Q to finish his MJP title (Master Jumpers Preferred). *Sort of* the equivalent of MH in a loose way, you need 10 passes (Q's) to get the title. With an overall Q rate of about 20-25%, it's not as easy as it sounds.
He went from nothing to the Master title in just 15 weekends.
We need 2 more Q's for the Master Standard title.
What a weekend.
What a dog.
What FUN!

We'll finish his MXP title, and then more or less retire him from agility. He's going to be 6 soon, and agility really pounds on their bodies, especially a heavier boned, big chested boy. We'll probably play around at FAST and Time2Beat, but just for fun because agility people are such fun to be around.
I plan to take up tracking with him once he finishes the MXP title

So cool, Barb! I've always loved watching agility on TV because of the relationship between dog and handler - Have even teared up once or twice watching the end celebration hugs after a run.

I've never seen it or done it in person, but have always wanted to. Same with tracking - let us know how that is, too!

Congrats to TITO! Better not get too many more titles on that dog - you won't have room to list them!!
