I see him as a fascist because he, on the outside acts like a supporter of private business, but tries to control every aspect by laws, divides people into classes, and makes up conflicts (economic and warfare) to get his agenda across. Marxism supposively supports the lower class, but obama, while acting like he cares about them, fills his and his friends pockets with money due to crony capitalism. I believe this would classify him as a fascist, but i could be wrong.

24hrs since Rubio's rebuttle and not a word on POTUS regarding his perfrormance?

I thought he did a better job than Jindal but still failed at inspiring a following. He seemed nervous, wiping his temples and diving off camera for a slip of water! He stumbled through the GOP mantra which is why he didn't really make any points other than saying, "the government can't change the weather".

Such an opportunity for the GOP to assume the high ground on all things Outdoors. I doubt they'll attempt to lead on the issue. It is however, what many Americans want to hear! Obama's lackluster SOTU was an opportunity for the GOP to shine. Yet, they dropped the ball.

I'll also say that I was disappointed in Rand's response. It was obviously recorded prior to Obama's speach. He's currently looking to get the people's support within the GOP via the various Teas. Give him credit for working within the system. But, I think he like his Dad will be alienated by the GOP establishment.

Here is my take :

Rubio gave an empassioned speech, IMO he connects with the voters, especially the middle class and Latino voter...the fact that the lamestream left attacked him this morning on having to take a drink of water, means he hit a nerve

Rand Paul gave the type of response he had to give. He didnt give the opposition anything to fire back on him

IMO again, they double teamed the SOTU the way it needed to be done, classy but firm, dignified...unless someone else steps up these two young lions are the future of the Party...if the left starts attacking them, then it only shows that they consider them a threat

They didnt need to hit a home run last night, its only the pre game warm ups..They both did well, give them their props

Yeah i do, just because he is buddyin up with establishment, going to cave on immigration reform, voting record, and not even mentioning the extrajudicial killings of american citizens. Do i like him beter than Obama, absolutely, Romney? absolutely. He is still a fan of big government. Just look at his vote for NDAA 2012 which allowed the indefinite detention of American citizens. He still has some big issues against him in my book. I still think The libertarian party response is the best, (which is in the original post under "limited government with drugs", and in Franco's post)

These guys need to pump their brakes in the media a bit if they want to ge the nomination. I would be looking at grassroots and not getting into the media until 2014. I am always so scared for new politicians to get into the spotlight because the media is licking their chops preparing to rip them to shreds.

Rubio gave a fine speech. He hit all the points he was trying to hit. It didn't mater really (What does it matter anyway) anyway... Because, the media was just going to blast him regardless. They are in full Obama lapdog mode. Who cares if the man took a drink of water during a speech for goodness sakes? Didn't hurt a thing and certainly not the CONTENT of the speech.

One thing for sure, Rubio's speech was much shorter than Obama's, but he said so much more.
