Cheap Alternative External Speaker for Dogtra Electronics Review
I while back, I promised a review of this speaker, in this thread:
http://www.retrievertraining.net/for...ra-Electronics
I've had enough opportunity to use these, that I feel safe giving them a field use thumbs up.
They are easily heard by the dog, even at 200 yards, in windy conditions. They aren't as loud as a real duck call, but they are loud enough. If the dog can hear the primer, they'll be able to hear the duck quack.
They haven't failed in the rain. I wouldn't submerge them though.
I haven't broken one yet.
They come with a cheap stamped metal base. I just use it as a "spool" to wrap the excess cord around.
I attach the speaker to the winger, using one of those loop bungees with the ball on it.
