You cannot go wrong with Rick Stawski, Fine Line Retrievers, in Milaca, MN. He can take you and the dog where you want to go. He trains in FL / GA in the Winter and MN in the Spring / Summer.

"Any suggestions for young dog trainers in the midwest? Currently have a 12 wk old puppy and trying to plan ahead. My main focus would be in hunt tests. "

If your looking for a young dog trainer, my grand daughter is 11 and she is pretty good at training dogs. Don

Tera Lanczak from BayBlue Kennels. She is in Michigan (summer) Texas (winter).
Great for basics whether it be FT or HT(all the same) Basics is Basics.

You can also look up Matt Johnson. From Duckwater Retrievers. Located in MN Texas in winter. He had a good year last year both in FT and HT. He does young dogs and has good quality care.

His clients are always very happy.
