I've been telling everyone I can for years: Texas is a hell-hole. Unbelievably hot!! Nothing but hurricanes, scorpions, cactus, and rattlesnakes. How many times has it been posted here, the progressives could care less about criminals and guns.

This thing still has to pass the Senate, get the gov to sign it and stand up to court challenges if all that happens. I'd say the NRA will fight this all the way to the SCOTUS particularily the requirement criminalizing private gun transfers would have a good chance of being struck down by a court. IMHO

I grew up in Colorado, and still have a place there. I am bombarding people with letters, emails, calls etc. We all need to get off our asses and be heard. And I dont mean sounding off on internet message boards like this one. Its our country and our rights; we need to fight for them

My guess is if anyone wants to spend the time, you can page through several of my posts back when the head of the libs, Yardley was posting here. It was my view that the socialists, lefties, liberals etc...in other words DEMOCRATS, were crapping in their own messkits by voting for leftists. Back then, the big gun control issue was at the UN, and of course Yardley said whatever that august body does concerning guns, would have to be ratified by congress. He wasn't wrong, of course. It was just my view that the more lefties he and his ilk put in congress, the closer we were to getting that ratification. He and his followers on POTUS said it could never happen. How in the hell can people that seem quite smart at times, display such idiotic logic.

I said back then, and continue to maintain the view, you cannot play dog games, be a hunter, and support the Democrats. Now that you've let the genie out of the bottle, I'm anxious to hear just what you fools intend to do to protect YOUR ox from being gored.

Try to stay focused here UB. This isnt about Yardley, the UN or Congress. It is about a state law in Colorado. A state that most view as being neither red or blue, but purple

Has ANYone proposed any gun control legislation that would actually keep guns out of the hands of criminals? Or get any guns out of the hands of criminals? Seems that everything proposed is directed at law-abiding citizens. When was the last time a criminal submitted to a background check to get a gun? Even the Sandy Hook shooter, a crazy person, had to steal the guns he had with him.
