I have to assume that by now most of you have discussed with your local legislators some kind of propsal that would have some common ground that both sides could live with regarding the gun situation that has everyone all stirred up?

Actually I have had conversation with my legislator about this issue.
His name is James Sensenbrenner, and I asked him to support the 2nd amendment.
He promised me he would!
I don't need Joe Biden, Diane Feinstein, Nancy P or you telling me what they will "allow" me to have or what I "need."

How would you like to be told what language we will "allow" you to use with your 1st amendment rights?

WTF are you talking about. "Common ground"? There is no common ground. They keep talking about taking away rights from law abiding citizens that will do nothing to stop gun violence, I want them to arrest and prosecute scumbags. Common ground my ass.

Think you just identified the current problem in our political system.
I am personally not against background checks. I am for updating the ATF system to computerized system that card filing. I am against assault rifle bans and magazines limits. I could support gun registration if they backed it up with a consistutional admenment to prohibit the government from seizing firearms. There is plenty of room for compromise. If all you want is win or lose, what happenes if you lose?
