    Great stuff!

My pup Betty is 11 weeks old right now, and I haven't yet introduced her to a throwing helper. I've thrown all the marks myself so far. When you started out, did you just start with the thrower close and slowly increased distance? Did you have any problems with the pup returning to the thrower instead of you?

Not sure! This is my first pup and don't know much about either but do want to get into them! I went to my first HT last week to learn more and really enjoyed it! Not sir what to difference in training is? I'm a big duck hunter so I don't know if FT is to much, like I said I'm trying to learn both? Advice and help is welcome!!

I started at 10 weeks in backyard at 15-20 feet with a thrower and never had a problem with her going to thrower! I use whistle and praise to bring her back! At 50-75yrds ill sometimes throw my hand in air once to get her focused on me when she turns her head!

Great, thanks! I gotta get started on this! Unfortunately the weather in NE Ohio has been awful lately.
