    Default Spacers for BB's

How long do you all typically cut your spacers to add to your bumper boys to shorten throw? Thanks

I have three units and its really trial and error. I have a few different lengths cut but I find the spacers are less consistan. I will also use the green charges more often than the spacers for shoter throws which have less juice then the yellows.

1 1/2 " for most but sometimes I use 2". I have had good luck with these lengths

I use Brown #2 charges and no spacers (with BB bumpers.)

It's been a LONG time since I tried spacers and Retrieve-R-Trainer bumpers. (I bought BB "throw bumpers" and cut the steel tubes out of most of my R-R-T bumpers, so I have 44 BB bumpers for 3 Four-shooters.)

I've always preferred spacers to the lighter loads. At a distance the yellow loads are nice and loud and the spacers control the distance of the throw.

I agree with making them about 1 1/2" long.

    Sue, See below video:

Look beneath the bumper and you will see the spacer. It is a piece of pvc conduit cut 1 1/2 inches long. I believe it is 3/4" inside diameter. It is slipped over the barrel and pushed down to the base of the barrel.

    Hope this helps.

I just buy the white PVC 1/2" glue on type couplings. They are already the proper length and no cutting is required.
