Another Kind of Canine Hero! (GDG)
We have some of the best trained and hardest working dogs in the country here in Taos. These are avalanche dogs. They find people and save lives. They also alert to avalanche conditions. Mostly labs and goldens, with a few others mixed in. This sweet choco is Riley. I am happy to know he is up there when my husband is working at the top of the mountain! When not working, Riley will steal your socks and lick your face

The SAR dogs are really awesome. My avatar dog has sired a few pups that have gone on to be SAR and drug detection dogs. The retrievers are so versatile in what they can do.
