    Vote Libertarian and we will;

Abolish the IRS (when we start living by the Constitution, we won't need to tax citizens in order to fund politician promises)
End The Fed... no more funny money!
Pass a Balanced Budget Amendment, no more BS from our politicians.
End Foreign Aid to hostile contries. No more paying cash tributes for a false peace.
No Govenment Healthcare, make insureance competitve and let the Free Market works its magic.
No more policing the world, as we take care of America First and foremost.
No gun laws for law abiding citizens.
End subsidies to businesses and all practices of Crony Capitalism.
States to determine policies on; abortion, education

These are already all part of the Libertarian Platform!

The only person qualified to run for President from RTF is Chris Atkinson. He has proven to be level-headed and quite adept at dealing with the problem children and instant gratification crowd on here. I believe he would have no problem with Congress and the instant gratification demanding populace.

    I'm writing him in.......

I left out a couple of things that weren't "top of mind", that's why I posted the link. No doubt that there are many NeoCons that can't handle the thought of Liberty. Just like the EPA, they want to tell everyone how they should live!

it always comes back to drugs for you huntinman...if that is your beef with Libertarian ideology, your priorities are a bit skewed.

It is the ONLY thing he can be critical of! He is as bad as the EPA, always telling citizens how they should live. He is a big supporter of the status quo and defends it daily here on RTF so, don't be too hard on him. Too hard for these big government types to ween themselves off of the government always telling them how to live.

    Franco,

I've been meaning to ask this for a while.

If the Libertarians were handed the reins, how would they fund the military, maintain the interstate highway system (which actually was built to move the military in the event of war), maintain the many buildings belonging to the federal government, maintain the National Parks and National forests, fund important research such as disease control and prevention, maintain the Veterans hospital network, pay the pensions of federal workers and retired military folks, fund the FBI and CIA, provide funds for assistance for disasters such as Katrina, and probably another hundred or so necessities to having our country function?

Where does the money come from?

Do you actually believe that business/industry will act in the best interests of the nation consistently without any oversight from federal agencies?

Haha, yeah i am pretty sure that the RTF straw poll bears more weight than the iowa straw poll. If Franco wins it will be a huge accomplishment for us libertarians
