you can know things about science, but saying you believe in science is about as crazy as saying "I believe in literature" or math or any other field of study. Belief has an element of faith to it.
ex: We have a "belief" that the Libertarian party would be the best thing for America. We cannot scientifically prove it. But we can, as Christians do for Christ, give examples of how it has worked in the past, what it is doing now, and postulate what it can do in the future.

You have to remember that class is real hard to come by for some individuals. As a Catholic I completely agree with your comment and appreciate it; however, I would agree with you even if I was not a member of the Catholic church.
I think Belief is all Faith. That's because the more we learn of our origins through the various sciences, the more it conflicts with the teaching of the various world religions.
