I still like my definition, meathead, my Southern born/bred Dad used that endearing term to describe his first born, me. It was well deserved at the time.

sarcasm was intended Marv..... but it's better than having no marbles, small marbles, etc.

I really think training has evolved over time, and our pedigrees have evolved... haven't really heard a definitive response as to why it is even a necessary part of a force program except maybe someone feels their dogs is recalcitrant. I still think there is a geographic acceptance of this method. The one dog i own that was marble fetched was trained in Texas. Or maybe it's based on the style of dog... certain pros do attract dogs of a certain style. It could have been an interesting discussion.

But, it's hard to have a discussion when certain people only want to be agreed with, and if you don't, disparaging comments are made. Pontificate. Yes, that's the word.

would a hand-held catapult not also already be a diminutive catapult? i think the way i said it one would picture a very small sling shot held between the thumb and forefinger. what i described to the reader might not even be capable of shooting a marble. that, and the shift key has always eluded me?
Don't know how big you are. You might have hands the size of hams, in which case "hand held" might be nearly full sized for normal folks.
